Marina Bay Sands invites guests to march into a new month of gastronomic adventures with exclusive menus and one-of-a-kind dining experiences. The highlight of the month is the Saint Patrick’s Day-themed celebrations, with LAVO Singapore’s bi-monthly LAVO Party Brunch series making a long-awaited return with a sky-high extravaganza titled ‘St Patrick’s Edition: Keep Calm and Shamrock On!’ on 18 March. Throughout the month, guests can also enjoy themed gourmet offerings at Spago Bar & Lounge, AVENUE Lounge, and MARQUEE.

Marina Bay Sands will also unveil a series of extraordinary dining experiences in March. db Bistro & Oyster Bar will host ‘A Tour of Lyon,’ a month-long celebration of the best of Bouchon Lyonnaise cuisine, while Black Tap Singapore will offer themed gourmet offerings. On 23 March, Spago by Wolfgang Puck and Michelin-starred Marguerite will team up to present the first-ever ‘A Culinary Odyssey – From the Bay to the Skies,’ an eight-course experience that takes diners from the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay to Sands SkyPark. Guests can also indulge in WAKUDA Restaurant & Bar’s new deluxe three-course lunch sets, KOMA Singapore’s luxurious omakase menu, and Yardbird Southern Table & Bar’s over 10 new à la carte creations.

Black Tap’s Reuben Burger and Paddy’s Pride (1 – 31 March) 

Black Tap Singapore is celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day with its March special, the Reuben Burger (S$29++). The burger is a nod to Irish American cuisine and features a potato bun with a juicy prime beef patty, griddled corn beef with bright peppery notes, Swiss cheese, tangy sauerkraut, pickles, and Black Tap’s secret special sauce. To fully immerse in the celebration for the Emerald Isle, guests can pair the burger with a pint of chilled Paddy’s Pride, a dry Irish pale ale in a spring green hue.

LAVO Party Brunch returns with ‘St Patrick’s Edition: Keep Calm and Shamrock On!’ 

The signature Party Brunch series at LAVO Italian Restaurant & Rooftop Bar is making a grand return with its ‘St Patrick’s Edition: Keep Calm and Shamrock On!’ on 18 March, from 12.30 pm to 3.30 pm. It promises to be one of the wildest Saint Patrick’s Day parties in town, with a shamrock-themed event filled with good fortune and great vibes. Guests can enjoy a delectable brunch spread, bottomless champagne, house wines, hours pours and beers, as well as high energy sets by a live DJ. The event offers all-time Italian American favorites, including a raw bar on ice featuring chunky poached lobsters, freshly baked brick oven pizzas, and brunch favorites such as the rigatoni tomato basil and soulful chicken alla cacciatora. The feast ends with a delightful assortment of pastries and the Chef’s selection of exquisite desserts.

LAVO Party Brunch series has gained a loyal international following for its prominent day club concept since its launch in Singapore in 2019, following its groundbreaking introduction at LAVO New York in 2010. The bi-monthly themed party brunch series starts with an expansive brunch menu before transitioning into a wild afternoon affair, complete with live DJ sets, bottle presentations, and energetic performances. After a three-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the series’ highly anticipated return to Singapore is expected to be a success.

Tickets for the event are available online from 18 February (Saturday), 12 pm. Early bird tickets are priced at S$168++ per person, while tickets for the second release are priced at S$188++ per person. Reservations are strongly encouraged, with limited tickets available at the door (unless sold out online), priced at S$200++ each.

Sky-high merriment at Shades of Spago (25 March) 

Spago Bar and Lounge launched a brand-new initiative called ‘Shades of Spago’ in 2023, offering a new party hotspot for revelers in town. The rooftop lounge promises an enthralling night of sky-high merry-making on the last Saturday of each month, from 8 pm till late. The venue is transformed into a dazzling party venue, decked in the specific color theme for the month. For instance, in February, guests celebrated the love month with shades of ‘Scarlet Red’, while the March edition (25 March) paid homage to Saint Patrick’s Day with a chic juxtaposition of ‘Lilac & Lime Green hues. Guests are expected to come dressed to impress in the shade of the month and groove to snazzy beats and tunes by renowned DJ Patrick Oliver amidst breathtaking views of Singapore’s city skylines.

All guests are entitled to enjoy one of Spago’s evocative featured cocktails for the month as a complimentary welcome drink. On 25 February, the Forbidden Kiss – a blend of Hendrick’s Gin, fresh raspberries, rose elixir, and lemon – was served, while in March, guests enjoyed the refreshing Sloppy Kisses, a well-balanced concoction of Don Julio Blanco Tequila, green apple, and Absinthe. Guests who wish to keep their glasses flowing and pair their tipples with delectable bar bites will also delight in Spago Bar and Lounge’s curated menu for the monthly affair. The entry fee for ‘Shades of Spago’ is priced at S$48++ per person, which includes one welcome drink.

‘A Tour of Lyon’ is being celebrated by db Bistro & Oyster Bar to showcase Chef Daniel Boulud’s culinary roots.

In March, db Bistro & Oyster Bar is offering a three-course dinner menu called ‘A Tour of Lyon’ (priced at S$98++ per person) to celebrate celebrity chef Daniel Boulud’s birthday month and showcase the best of bouchon Lyonnaise cuisine. Lyon, which is hailed as France’s culinary capital, is Chef Boulud’s hometown and the place where his passion for food and cooking began. Lyon’s location at the confluence of the Rhône and Saône rivers and its proximity to prolific farms and vineyards provide an abundant supply of fresh, high-quality produce. The dinner menu is updated weekly and includes a choice of starter or salad, a chef’s selection of main course, and a weekly dessert special. The pâté en croûte maison, a beautifully crafted dish consisting of duck, foie gras, pistachio, and pickles, and the cervelle de canut, a Lyonnaise specialty cheese dip with herbs and Spring vegetables, are the star dishes in the starter course. Diners can also choose the salade Lyonnaise, Chef Boulud’s preferred frisée salad with poached egg, bacon, and chicken jus.

The unveiling of Omakase by KOMA marks KOMA Singapore’s new elegant and exclusive eight-course gastronomic experience. The private dining room, located on the mezzanine level, takes diners on a journey through the seasons and regions of Japan. The menu features a variety of seasonal produce, including premium seafood and prized wagyu selections. The deluxe menu is available only for dinner from Tuesdays to Saturdays and is priced at S$450++ per person. Guests can also choose the beverage pairing package for a truly unique experience at a supplement of S$150++ per person. A party of at least four persons is required, and reservations must be made at least a week in advance.

LAVO Singapore offers an exclusive takeaway dessert, the strawberry tiramisu, perfect for adding flair to any home celebration. Available from 5 to 31 March, this one-kilogram dessert centerpiece (priced at S$56++) can serve six to eight guests. It features layers of fresh, juicy strawberries, creamy vanilla mascarpone mousse, sweet strawberry jam, and savoiardi, which are crisp Italian ladyfingers. To ensure availability, the dessert must be pre-ordered at least two days in advance.

“A Culinary Odyssey – From the Bay to the Skies” presented by Spago by Wolfgang Puck and Marguerite

The Marguerite restaurant, located at Gardens by the Bay, will commence the feast with four courses, including the new Caledonian blue prawn “tagliolini” and the morel mushroom custard. After that, diners will take a scenic buggy ride to Marina Bay Sands to experience the epitome of sky-high dining at Spago by Wolfgang Puck. The Spago team led by Executive Chef Greg Bess will present four dishes, including the 35-day grain-fed lamb chop from Kinross Station Australia and the innovative Japanese sea bream “laksa.” Diners can enjoy course-by-course beverage pairings with the finest champagne and wines. The price for this one-night-only menu is S$688++ per person, and reservations are required. Limited seats are available, and reservations open on 2nd March.

WAKUDA Restaurant & Bar launches deluxe weekday lunch sets 

The newly launched deluxe lunch sets at WAKUDA Restaurant & Bar, helmed by celebrity chef Tetsuya Wakuda, offer a unique take on traditional Japanese cooking. Available on weekdays from 12pm to 3pm, the three-course menu features the finest seasonal produce with nine delectable appetizers to start, such as the flan with avruga caviar, silky tofu with ikura, spinach ohitashi, and mozuku. For the main course, diners can choose from five Japanese favorites, including miso cod, sashimi, and wagyu tenderloin. All mains except for the bara chirashi come with steamed Japanese rice, homemade pickles, and a marinated soft-boiled egg. The meal concludes with a seasonal dessert and can be paired with sencha or coffee. The lunch sets are priced from S$72++ per person and are perfect for business lunches and romantic dates.

Yardbird Southern Table & Bar launches new à la carte menu

Yardbird Southern Table & Bar has recently launched more than 10 new à la carte creations featuring farm-fresh ingredients. The classic American restaurant, which has been nominated for the James Beard award, offers new garden bites such as heirloom field pea hummus and garden vegetable & butter bean salad. Guests can also indulge in an upsized version of the Chicken & Waffles with The Whole Bird, which features a double portion of Yardbird’s signature fried chicken along with cheddar waffles, chilled spiced watermelon, Bourbon maple syrup and honey hot sauce. Moreover, Yardbird’s executive chef Josh Chua has conceptualized four Singapore-exclusive creations, including grilled octopus salad, 14-day bourbon-aged steak, charred miso cauliflower steak, and cauliflower casserole. The late-night menu, available from 10pm to 12am daily at The Loft on Level 1 overlooking Marina Bay, offers burnt ends, deli platter, and whole cakes like Bourbon bacon chocolate cake and grandma’s key lime pie. The restaurant’s new dishes and menus are perfect for those looking for a late-night bite or an indulgent celebration.
