The Bulgari Hotel Roma, the latest addition to the luxurious Bulgari Hotel & Resorts collection, is set to open on June 9, 2023, in the heart of Rome’s Campo Marzio neighborhood at Piazza Augusto Imperatore n.10. The hotel’s strategic location provides easy access to several iconic monuments, such as the Spanish Steps, Via del Corso, and Via del Babuino, as well as Bulgari’s flagship store on Via Condotti. The hotel will be the brand’s ninth gem, joining other properties in Milan, London, Paris, Dubai, Beijing, Shanghai, and Bali. The Bulgari Hotel Tokyo and Maldives have recently opened, and Miami (2025) and Los Angeles (2026) have been announced as future destinations.

The Bulgari Hotel Roma is housed within a restored 1930s building that was previously the headquarters of the Italian National Institute for Insurance. The hotel boasts 114 rooms, most of which are suites, and features four different color palettes, offering views of the Piazza Augusto Imperatore or Via della Frezza. The hotel’s signature suite, the Bulgari Suite, features furniture from Antonio Citterio’s flexform and Maxalto collections, custom tapestries by Venetian textile manufacturer Rubelli, a large master bedroom, a living space, and an exclusive dining room.

The hotel’s five dining options have been curated by chef Niko Romito, including Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, offering contemporary Italian cuisine on the 5th floor, and the Bulgari Bar, featuring a large black marble counter decorated with Murano crystals cones and a large terrace with a lounge set-up and an outdoor bar corner. The rooftop terrace, La Terrazza, offers stunning views of Rome’s skyline and serves an Italian-style informal menu of snacks and light dishes that change throughout the day. The Bulgari Dolci boutique offers sweet treats, including the renowned Bulgari ‘chocolate gem’ creations and a selection of traditional Italian pastries from the La Pasticceria – Niko Romito menu. Guests can also enjoy more casual dining options at the hotel’s lobby lounge and Il Caffe.

The hotel’s Bulgari Spa, covering an area of 1500 square meters, features 9 treatment rooms, a 25-meter pool and vitality pool, and a fitness space entrusted to WORKSHOP GYMNAS. The restoration of the building was carried out with the same attention to detail as Bulgari’s high jewelry, using expert craftsmanship and art. The hotel recreates the atmosphere of the ancient Roman Baths, with marble columns rising from the swimming pool and colored glass windows infusing warm and suffuse light. The hotel provides a harmonious retreat to balance the body, mind, and spirit while paying homage to the rich history and culture of Rome. Additionally, the hotel’s Reading Room, containing a collection of precious volumes dedicated to Roman art, design, history, and architecture, is open to the public by appointment.
