Citizens Market Atlanta at Phipps Plaza in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood has opened its doors to the public. The immersive destination, spanning 25,000 square feet, offers a culinary market showcasing eight distinct chef-driven brands, as well as a full indoor and outdoor bar and event space.

The opening of Citizens Market Atlanta at Phipps Plaza is a highly anticipated addition to the Phipps Plaza redevelopment. Situated adjacent to The Green, a newly designed grand courtyard featuring comfortable seating, well-manicured green space, and a large-scale hand-painted mural commissioned by Simon from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), the culinary market enriches the overall experience. The reimagined Phipps Plaza stands as an unparalleled mixed-use development that revolutionizes the way people live, work, play, and shop in Buckhead. This iconic destination for shopping and dining is anchored by the prestigious Nobu Hotel and Restaurant Atlanta, Life Time and Life Time Work, a luxury athletic country club and coworking space, and One Phipps Plaza, a LEED-certified, 13-story Class A office tower.

Operated by Legends, a global premium experiences company, Citizens Market Atlanta at Phipps Plaza showcases eight fast-casual culinary brands created by C3 (Creating Culinary Communities), the fastest-growing global food tech platform. Within the food hall, visitors can enjoy a variety of culinary options, including:

Umami Burger offers a rich and savory taste experience that transcends the usual flavors of sweetness, sourness, saltiness, and bitterness. The fundamental essence of Umami is at the core of the Umami Burger dining experience. They pride themselves on creating the most irresistible burgers known to the general public.

Sam’s Crispy Chicken is a fast-casual dining concept specializing in Southern-style fried chicken delicacies. Their chicken is sourced from 100% antibiotic and hormone-free poultry. Sam’s Crispy Chicken excels at serving crowd-pleasing hand-battered, cornflake-crusted, all-natural chicken sandwiches that are prepared to perfection.

Krispy Rice delivers an elevated sushi experience that defies expectations. Their menu revolves around the iconic Krispy Rice dish, complemented by handrolls, maki cut rolls, nigiri, and expertly curated combinations. All of their offerings are prepared quickly and served fresh.

Cicci Di Carne by Dario is centered around the concept of a local deli and butcher shop. The menu is curated by renowned Butcher Dario Cecchini, known as the “world’s best butcher.”

Geometric food counters, unified stall designs, vibrant neon brand logos, and subtle lighting combine to create an atmosphere reminiscent of an upscale restaurant. Lush greenery peeks out from various corners, adding a touch of natural elegance. The abundance of guest seating options includes high-top community tables, traditional banquette-style seating, and modern ottomans, all adorned in warm terracotta hues and complementary neutral tones.

Citizens Market Atlanta at Phipps Plaza operates from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm daily, offering an extensive range of dining options. However, Ella Mia, the coffee shop, opens its doors at 8:00 am to cater to early risers seeking coffee, breakfast, and delightful treats like Cindy Lou’s Cookies.
