Perched atop a coastal hillside, the Stanford Inn & Resort commands a view that spans both Mendocino Bay and the historic farm nestled below. A serene haven awaits, offering guests the chance to forge connections with nature, rediscover their creativity, and bask in pure joy.

Welcoming guests with open arms, the resort’s lobby is a spacious and inviting entry point. Within the confines of this charming Mendocino boutique hotel, guest rooms and suites exude warmth with their pine and redwood paneling. Meticulous attention has been paid to every detail, from the crackling wood-burning fireplaces that stand ready to be ignited, to the sumptuous chef-prepared organic, plant-based breakfasts that grace each stay.

For environmentally-conscious travelers, the Stanford Inn & Resort takes pride in providing nine EV Charging Stations, catering to electric vehicle needs.

Drawing inspiration from their certified organic gardens, the resort’s culinary jewel, the Ravens Restaurant, stands as an essential dining destination along the Mendocino Coast. Here, the cuisine served echoes the commitment to sustainability that echoes throughout the establishment, evident not only in the menu but also in their composting and recycling initiatives, eco-friendly cleaning practices, and the use of bio-diesel-fueled trucks.

Renowned for romantic getaways and welcoming to pets and families alike, the resort has carved a niche as a favored venue for weddings and elopements along the Northern California Coast. A unique sense of tranquility can be found in the resort’s Massage in the Forest offerings and its holistic wellness center, both offering an array of life-enriching experiences. Among the standout experiences is the resort’s distinctive ‘pedaling and paddling’ adventures, often witnessed as guests serenely glide up the waters of Big River on remarkably stable redwood outrigger canoes.

At the heart of the Stanford Inn & Resort’s offerings lies its wellness center, a sanctuary for rejuvenation and self-care. Within these walls, guests can partake in private classes and sessions encompassing topics ranging from nutrition and healthy living to cooking, creative workshops, meditation, and practices like Chinese medicine, acupuncture, Tai Chi, and yoga. The center also hosts massage and spa treatments, gardening sessions, nature walks, and even mushroom foraging excursions. An expansive greenhouse within the center houses a saline swimming pool heated to a comfortable 82°F, accompanied by a dry sauna, hot tub, showers, and relaxation areas harmoniously nestled amidst lush greenery. The greenhouse offers a cocoon of warmth and solace throughout every season, casting an especially enchanting spell on rainy evenings.
