The Palazzo Salviati Cesi Mellini, where Six Senses Rome is located, is a treasure trove of wonders. The marble staircase with its decorative skylight and newly restored 600-year-old columns in the main entrance are among its highlights. The BIVIUM Restaurant-Café-Bar is located above a fourth-century baptismal bath, uncovered during archaeological excavations in the early 1900s, and now visible beneath the glass floor tiles.

The classical elements of the Palazzo blend seamlessly with the contemporary, sustainable design by architect Patricia Urquiola. Abundant plants throughout the hotel create a strong sense of reconnection with nature.

According to local legend, she nursed the newborn twin founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus, and has become an iconic symbol of the city. Guests can learn more about the hotel’s sustainability efforts in the dedicated Earth Lab, which offers interactive talks and hands-on workshops.
