Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is gearing up for a tropical Spring season reopening on March 19. While Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is closed for refurbishment, guests can enjoy a late-night party, H2O Glow After Hours, at the paradise-themed water park in Walt Disney World Resort, Florida. The party starts on May 20 and runs on select nights through September 2.
After the park closes to daytime guests, H2O Glow After Hours lets visitors enjoy their favorite attractions under the stars for three hours. The event features glow lighting effects and decor, high-energy DJ dance parties, surprise character appearances, an exclusive adult-only area, complimentary ice cream treats, popcorn, and selected beverages, as well as exclusive glow-themed food and beverage. New food and beverage items at the park include fruity new DOLE Whip flavors, a Pineapple Upside Down Cone, and a Barbeque Chicken and Grilled Pineapple Flatbread.
When Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park reopens on March 19 for the Spring season, guests will have access to plenty of traditional favorites, including the iconic Sand Pail Sundae and the Moana and Hei Hei Ice Cream Cone, as well as savory snacks like Hand Battered Fish Tacos and Fish and Chips. In addition, adults can enjoy new tropical beverage items such as the Kungaloosh Kooler, Crush ‘N’ Gushed Red and White Sangrias, and Mayday Mojito Flight.
One of the water park’s signature attractions, the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool, will also make a return. Using state-of-the-art technology, the largest outdoor wave pool in North America creates controlled waves up to six feet high. Guests can choose between “open surf” for small groups of 10 waves or “private surf” for groups of up to 25 people.
The water park features several other popular attractions that offer everything from exhilarating slides to “water-ful” play spaces. These include Miss Adventure Falls, a fast-paced family raft attraction created by sea-faring treasure hunter Captain Mary Oceaneer; Crush ‘N’ Gusher, a thrilling “water coaster” featuring three 400-foot-long tube slides named for various fruits they once transported; Castaway Creek, a scenic lazy river that encircles the entire water park; and Humunga Kowabunga, which offers a choice of three adrenaline-filled body slides set against the steep inclines of Mount Mayday.
