Luxury resort Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas has announced the opening of its Nala Orchid Garden, offering guests a range of experiences centered on orchids, flowers, and plants native to the Maldives Islands. With around 1,200 blooms of 25 different orchid varieties, the garden is perfect for nature lovers, who can opt for a leisurely stroll or guided tour with the resort’s resident Orchid Guru, Prem Pemithalaka. Prem’s approach to plant care includes talking to the orchids, and he encourages guests to send positive affirmations to the flowers during their guided tour.

In addition to the guided tours, guests can indulge in flower essence therapy sessions and spa treatments, which incorporate the tropical atoll’s floral aromas, flavors, and sights. Guests can also enjoy an elegant afternoon tea in the garden or opt for the unique Flower Essence Therapy session, which explores an individual’s personality and emotional state through a conversational exchange and flower-card reading. The session provides guests with their own unique flower-essence remedy to take home, made from wildflowers, trees, and bushes that contain calming and mood-enhancing properties.
