Citrus Ranch Park has a rich history that dates back to the late 19th century. Before it became a park, the land was a working ranch owned by the Serrano family. The Serranos cultivated citrus trees and other crops on the land, which was then known as the Serrano Ranch.

In the early 1900s, the ranch was sold to the Irvine Company, which used the land for cattle grazing. In the 1930s, the City of Tustin acquired the land from the Irvine Company and converted it into a park.
