The Brouillard made its long-anticipated debut today on the manicured lawns of Quail Lodge, where an audience of collectors, tastemakers, and enthusiasts witnessed the one-of-one creation’s first global appearance. Its presence instantly revealed the essence of its design language: a celebration of coachbuilding elevated to its highest art form, underscored by Bugatti’s 116-year legacy of crafting singular, hand-built automobiles.
Every detail, from the sweeping lines of its silhouette to the refinement of its cockpit, pays homage to Ettore Bugatti’s enduring passion for equestrianism. The name itself recalls Brouillard, the founder’s prized white-and-gray thoroughbred, a horse that embodied the speed, beauty, and elegance that would forever shape the identity of the marque.
The vision behind Brouillard was born from the creative energy driving Programme Solitaire, Bugatti’s most ambitious step yet in personalization. Expanding beyond the already rarefied Sur Mesure commissions, the program channels the spirit of early 20th century coachbuilding, which produced icons like the Galibier, Stelvio, Ventoux, and Atalante built on the legendary Type 57 chassis.
In execution, the Brouillard represents the fusion of two Bugatti hallmarks: relentless engineering progress and audacious design. Anchored by the brand’s celebrated W16 engine, producing 1,600 PS through its quad-turbo configuration, the car evolves into a striking new coupé profile. Air intakes are sculpted with architectural precision, the roofline flows like a drawn bow, and the bespoke ducktail wing integrates performance with poise.

Inside, the cabin is equal parts performance atelier and couture salon. The gear selector doubles as a hand-sculpted tribute to the horse Brouillard, while embroidered motifs echo across door panels and rear seats in a tartan fabric sourced from Paris. A green-tinted carbon weave pairs with brushed aluminum highlights, and the glass canopy floods the interior with light, elevating the experience to cathedral scale.
Brouillard is not merely a car but an act of creative discipline, the automotive equivalent of haute couture. It stands as a testament to Bugatti’s reverence for tradition and its appetite for pushing craftsmanship into uncharted territory.
The world premiere took place today at The Quail on Friday, August 15, before the hypercar transitions into a private exhibition at Le Domaine Bugatti across the weekend.
