Shiga Prefecture, which is blessed with beautiful water and abundant nature, is said to be the birthplace of Japanese tea.  At the Lake Biwa Marriott Hotel, Grill & Dining G restaurant located on the top floor of the hotel will be open from Saturday, May 1st to Wednesday, June 30th, 2021 for the Afternoon Tea – Ômi tea.

In the Afternoon Tea – Omi Tea Collection, sweets using tea products such as roasted tea, Genmaicha, and Sencha made from Omi tea cultivated in Shiga prefecture.  Ingredients unique to this area such as Omi vegetables are used in the afternoon tea set as well.  The set will include 8 kinds of sweets and 4 kinds of savory.

Finger biscuits using Tsuchiyama tea

Matcha and grapefruit omelette

Shiratama dango (skewer dumpling) with roasted green tea cream

Green tea float with Moriyama melon jelly, Omi green tea scone and jam

Cold basil cream pasta with tomato and raw ham

Sakura egg sandwich

Sakura shrimp and spinach bacon quiche

Omi chicken and Omi vegetable raw spring rolls with beetroot vinaigrette
