The high-performance GT2 marks the return of Maserati to racing, with its debut taking place at the Autodromo Varano de’ Melegari. The shakedown at the Parma circuit serves as a prelude to a series of events leading up to the official unveiling of the car in June at the 24 Hours of Spa in Belgium. The brand aims to evoke the exploits of its victorious MC12 with the hungry new car, ready to participate in the GT championships.

Maserati’s long history in motorsport is characterized by almost a century of success, a unique and distinctive DNA, and a passion being reignited by the brand’s link to its potent legacy from the past and its drive toward the future.

The car was conceived and designed by Maserati engineering in collaboration with Centro Stile Maserati, ensuring the aesthetic quality standards typical of the brand. The technical specifications of the Maserati GT2 are impressive, featuring patented MTC (Maserati Twin Combustion) technology inspired by F1 engines, an ultra-light carbon fiber central monocoque that provides an excellent weight-power ratio, and lightweight full composite bodywork that maximizes aerodynamic features to improve vertical load while ensuring optimal efficiency in terms of drag. The aerodynamic load has been carefully balanced, and the bottom has been designed to work well with the front splitter and rear wing. The car has quick-release removable bodywork for efficient component replacement and a chassis with high torsional and bending stiffness.

The electronics are also adjustable. The 6-speed sequential racing gearbox and steering wheel paddle shift with an electrical rotary gearshift actuator delivers adrenaline-fueled emotions.

The Maserati GT2’s futuristic, intuitive cabin features a carbon fiber dashboard and a 10″ integrated display. The bodywork is painted with Maserati Corse-specific painting and livery options (Blu Infinito).
