Maserati left an indelible mark on the California Peninsula during Monterey Car Week 2025, the world’s most prestigious gathering of automotive connoisseurs, collectors, and tastemakers. The century-old Trident brand, renowned for its racing pedigree, uncompromising performance, and sculptural Italian design, asserted its dominance through a series of milestone unveilings, celebrated concours victories, and a record-breaking auction result.
The centerpiece of Maserati’s presence was the North American debut of the MCPURA Cielo, unveiled at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering before making its way to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Concept Lawn. An evolution of the marque’s MC20 halo car, MCPURA refines the brand’s design language with aerodynamic precision, advanced lightweight materials, and elevated interior craftsmanship. Underneath its sculpted form remains Maserati’s beating heart: the Nettuno 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, delivering 621 horsepower of raw Italian energy. Available in both coupé and convertible form, MCPURA embodies the Maserati ethos of driver engagement fused with timeless elegance and unrelenting performance.

Complementing the debut, Maserati curated a striking display at the Pebble Beach Concours Village, where enthusiasts experienced the brand’s Nettuno-powered lineup firsthand. The showcase featured the GT2 Stradale, GranTurismo Trofeo, and Grecale Trofeo, three distinct expressions of Maserati’s balance between performance and luxury.
The celebration of heritage was equally powerful. On the concours competition field, Maserati’s storied past took center stage. A 1956 Maserati 200SI Fantuzzi Open Sports Racer, a former World Sportscar Championship competitor, earned first place in the Postwar Sports Racing category, claimed the Briggs Cunningham Trophy, and was nominated for Best of Show. Meanwhile, a 1956 Maserati A6G 2000 Allemano Coupé secured third place in the Postwar Luxury Touring category, underscoring the brand’s dual mastery of competition and grand touring elegance.
History was also written at the Hagerty Broad Arrow Jet Center Auction. A rare 2005 Maserati MC12 Stradale, penned by Frank Stephenson with bodywork by Giorgetto Giugiaro, sold for a record-breaking $5.2 million. With only 50 examples ever produced and powered by a Ferrari-derived V12, the MC12 Stradale stands as the fastest production Maserati to date. The sale established the model as the most valuable modern Maserati ever sold at auction, a testament to the enduring collectability of the Trident marque.

From the sunlit lawns of Pebble Beach to the exclusivity of The Quail, Maserati orchestrated a showcase that bridged heritage with modernity. By honoring its racing legacy while presenting a vision for its future, the brand reaffirmed its status as a purveyor of Italian excellence on the global stage of Monterey Car Week 2025.
