Reopened on June 16th, Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles makes a stylish return to Mahé’s untouched west coast, unveiling a vibrant new identity after a top-to-bottom transformation. Just a 30-minute drive from Seychelles International Airport, the refreshed beachfront resort now caters to the modern, experience-hungry traveller with a sleek blend of natural charm, contemporary aesthetics and sociable spaces.

Tucked between swaying palms and the dazzling turquoise of the Indian Ocean, the 192-room retreat has introduced Lagoon Access Rooms and expanded its poolside hangouts. Whether it’s sundowners on a private terrace or lazy afternoons in a hammock under the trees, the emphasis is firmly on slowing down and soaking up the moment.

The relaunch also marks a bold shift in culinary direction. Regional flavours meet global flair across five vibrant dining and drinking venues. At Pti-Bazar, travellers can graze on internationally inspired small plates, while Somewhere fires up wood-grilled favourites and SEYUMAI serves up sushi with a Creole twist. Poolside, Zil Bar and Lagon Bar deliver laid-back cocktails and light bites, and Bar Barons brings together wholesome plates and a creative drinks list. Looking ahead, 2026 will see the debut of Nowhere, a hidden rum-and-hammock bar tucked among the palms, and Upper Deck, a Champagne and tapas lounge perched above Barbarons Bay—tailor-made for sunset toasts and intimate soirées.

There’s more to explore beyond the beach, too. Guests can unwind at the serene AvaniSpa, snorkel in the resort’s clear shallows, or set out into the surrounding reserves for a hit of wild island nature. Culture-curious visitors are invited to connect with local life through curated experiences spotlighting Seychelles’ Creole roots, including market visits and hands-on cooking sessions.

For celebrations and business with a view, Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles delivers. With three adaptable event spaces already in place, the resort will soon welcome the Takamaka Function Hall—a dedicated venue for everything from weddings to product launches, all framed by the Indian Ocean.

With its elevated design, vibrant dining scene and fresh take on island living, Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles is rewriting the rules of resort life in the Indian Ocean.

Special Opening Offer: Rates from USD 460 per night for two adults sharing a Garden View Balcony Room, including breakfast, taxes and service charge. Valid for stays through March 31st, 2026.
