The Great Capcom Exhibition – Game Creations that Captivate the World lands at Creative Museum Tokyo in Kyobashi from December 20, 2025, to February 22, 2026, bringing decades of legendary game-making into one immersive, high-impact experience. After drawing crowds in Osaka at the Nakanoshima Museum of Art, the traveling exhibition now hits the capital—bigger, deeper, and more interactive than ever.

It’s been nearly 50 years since home consoles first changed how the world plays. What started with blocky pixel art has evolved into cinematic, emotionally driven worlds—and few companies have shaped that journey like Capcom. From Street Fighter and Resident Evil to Monster Hunter, Capcom’s titles didn’t just define eras—they built global communities.

This exhibition zooms in on Capcom’s DNA: game creation itself. From early concepts to next-gen technology, visitors are invited to see, touch, and experience how iconic games are made. The standout? Full-scale immersive installations that pull players off the couch and straight into the game.

The Resident Evil zone transforms physical space into survival horror—zombie visuals projected all around, tension rising with every step forward. No controller needed, just nerves of steel. Over in the Monster Hunter area, projection mapping and AR collide with massive field models to recreate living ecosystems and monster behavior in stunning detail. One of the most jaw-dropping moments lets visitors experience Safi’jiiva’s devastating “King’s Droplet” attack from Monster Hunter World: Iceborne in an explosive spatial setup.

Interactivity runs deep. A tablet-based pixel art station lets visitors choose from 24 characters and build their own retro-style creations. A next-gen mirror installation reacts in real time to body movement, shifting character expressions and blurring the line between player and avatar. Elsewhere, a character tunnel celebrates Capcom’s vast universe, while rare development materials and original design documents reveal how fan-favorite characters came to life.

Tokyo-exclusive content sweetens the deal. The venue debuts a new exhibit of hand-drawn rough sketches, carefully selected from series like Street Fighter, Mega Man X, and Ace Attorney—raw, unfiltered glimpses into Capcom’s creative process.

Of course, no Capcom experience is complete without loot. The exhibition shop drops exclusive merch perfect for collectors, including acrylic blocks featuring iconic scenes from Ace Attorney and Monster Hunter, plus instant ramen wrapped in bold, eye-catching pixel art packaging.

Fuel up before—or after—the grind at the Creative Museum Tokyo Café, located on the same floor. During the exhibition, the café rolls out a limited-time collaboration menu inspired by Capcom’s worlds. Highlights include a bone-in hamburger steak straight out of Monster Hunter, Hadoken-inspired tomato pasta from Street Fighter, and a curry plate depicting Mega Man’s face-off with Yellow Devil. Desserts go full kawaii-core with Airou (Monster Hunter) and Amaterasu (Okami) toppings, while Hadoken-style churros literally burst from the bag. Drinks are no afterthought either—the “Recovery Drink Bar” channels the healing items and Genki Drinks from Monster Hunter for a proper HP refill.
